There have been some amazing performances on American Horror Story. And considering how many actors return every season, we can’t resist talking about some of the best performances that these key players have given us. This is why, we are going to be ranking 25 of the best performances to ever grace our AHS journey, but we plan to do it with a bit of a twist.

Instead of ranking each actors’ characters, we are going to be ranking the actors themselves based on their very best performance throughout all nine seasons. And with so many American Horror Story veterans to choose from, we can’t help but think this will be both the easiest task ever and the hardest. Of course, there is one major requirement – the actor has to have been in at least three seasons (with two major exceptions, one of which has an asterisk next to it thanks to his turn in American Horror Stories).

For some stars, such as Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson, it is hard to choose their very best performance. And for others, it only takes saying their name to know that this was their time to shine.
