GM Craig Engler declares Shudder “the ultimate destination for horror all year long” and promises that this year will be even bigger, “bringing Shudder members an unbeatable lineup” of exclusive series and films, specials and horror classics, all beginning on September 1.
Shudder Originals and Exclusives already announced for September include:
- Superhost
- Martyrs Lane
- Séance
- Creepshow Season 3
Also announced for September were a slew of coveted classics, including Poltergeist, Carrie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Haunting, and most Phantasm films.
As if those additions weren’t enough to make the days leading to Halloween special, we have even more fantastic horror coming up in October. Let’s take a peek at what we have to look forward to in the final 31 days of the most wonderful time of the year for horror fans.

The Halloween Hotline also returns, with the head of programming Samuel Zimmerman available every Friday in October from 3:00-4:00 pm ET. Sam will chat with fans about everything horror-related, then use his special talents to give you customized viewing suggestions taken from the Shudder library.
Want Sam to pick some flicks for you? Call 914-481-2239 during the above Hotline hours only. From Shudder: **While recommendations are provided for free, please note that normal phone and long-distance charges may apply. Call volume is expected to be high, so please keep trying if a busy signal is received. There are no guarantees that every call will be answered, but Sam will get through as many as he can within the hour.**
October 6:
V/H/S/94 (Shudder Original, available on Shudder US, CA, ANZ and UKI) – The fourth installment in what has become a cult favorite franchise can only be seen on Shudder. The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 4 – This Shudder Original series features ten unusual drag artists who will compete for a $100,000 prize (the largest grand prize in show history). Guest judges will include Queer country artist Orville Peck (who has an amazing voice), Harvey Guillen (What We Do in the Shadows), Ray Santiago (Ash vs. The Evil Dead), Bob the Drag Queen (RuPaul’s Drag Race), with more guests to be announced.
