Just Beyond, Muppets Haunted Mansion and more included in Disney’s Hallowstream 2021

Disney+ is scaring up tons of family-friendly scares this year with the second annual Hallowstream 2021. Settle in for countless comfort creepy films, spooky shorts, and the debut of highly anticipated new offerings like Muppets Haunted Mansion and R.L. Stine’s Just Beyond.

The celebration kicks off early with a special zombie-themed episode of the animated Marvel series What If…? which is streaming right now. The Hallowstream collection includes classic films like The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Simpsons‘ Treehouse of Horror Collection, beloved Halloween-themed episodes, and, of course, Hocus Pocus.

The schedule officially begins on September 24 with a collection of favorites and new additions to the service. Disney+ will debut three original programs: LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, Muppets Haunted Mansion, and Just Beyond, as part of the celebration.

LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales premieres on October 1 and is a seasonal celebration of the Star Wars galaxy focusing specifically on the villainous dark side. Taking place after The Rise of the Skywalker, this new saga follows Poe and BB-8 as they make an emergency landing on Mustafar and come face-to-face with Graballa the Hutt who has recently purchased Darth Vader’s castle and is planning to renovate it into a Sith-inspired luxury hotel.

Then on October 8, The Muppets get their first-ever Halloween special with Muppets Haunted Mansion, a new special featuring a star-studded Muppets cast, celebrity cameos, and all-new music.

Finally, all eight episodes of the supernatural anthology series Just Beyond will bow on Wednesday, October 13 as part of the epic Hallowstream celebration offered by Disney+ this year. The new show is inspired by R.L. Stine’s graphic novel and should be the perfect follow-up to Netflix’s trio of Fear Street movies this past summer (although this show is aimed at families and not R-rated, obviously).

In each episode, a new cast of characters embarks on a journey of self-discovery into a supernatural world filled with ghosts, aliens, witches, and more.
