Shudder has released a Meet Our Monsters video before the highly-anticipated fourth season of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula.

The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula began as a regular club event, then became a reality series, which ran on the YouTube channel Hey, Qween! The premise is a mashup of underground drag competition and Fear Factor, with the contestants (AKA “Uglies”) competing in Drag, Filth, Horror and Glamour.

At the end of each episode, contestants compete in a hardcore challenge, where they must do things like eat cow intestines or be buried alive. Queens who fail the challenge are then “killed off” by the Boulet Brothers in innovative ways.

With the second season, The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula became widely available to stream, with the third season debuting in August of 2019. Then came Shudder. In October of last year, Shudder began streaming a special titled Dragula: Resurrection, wherein 7 prior contestants were “brought back to life” to compete for a slot in season four.

The first episode of season four will premiere on Tuesday, October 19, and a new episode will be released each Tuesday.

This season, the drag artists on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula will compete for $100,000, the largest in the show’s history.

  • Bitter Betty (She/Her) is a trans woman with 20 years of drag experience, inspired by ‘80s cartoons.
  • Koco Caine (They/Them) describes themself as a zombie stripper who regularly performs horror drag.
  • HoSo Terra Tom (She/Her, They/Them), a Korean artist who refers to herself as a “drag yokai.”
  • Formelda Hyde (He/Him, They/Them) has performed mainly online and in digital drag shows rather than in live clubs.
  • Jade Jolie (She/Her) previously appeared as a competitor on RuPaul’s Drag Race and feels that her drag style is impossible to categorize.
  • Merrie Cherry (She/Her) comes to Dragula out of Brooklyn, NY, and brings her sense of humor and fun to her drag style.
  • Saint (He/Him, She/Her, They/Them) last appeared on The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Resurrection, which she won.
  • Sigourney Beaver (She/Her) considers herself a “female impersonator-impersonator,” and her background in burlesque definitely contributes to her drag style.
  •  La Zavaleta (She/Her, They/Them) is originally from Mexico and enjoys blending sexy and scary into her drag.
