The horror anthology Slasher has been on the air for a while now despite moving from Chiller to Netflix and now Shudder. Since Slasher: Flesh and Blood recently ended, many fans are wondering if there will be a Slasher Season 5. Has Shudder officially renewed the show yet?

Despite never becoming incredibly well-known, Slasher has procured a small yet devoted fanbase. It’s always possible that the show could get picked up and move again if Shudder isn’t interested, but that doesn’t seem likely.

The good thing is that Shudder does have some Original television programming, including the horror anthology Creepshow, which is about to start its third season. Slasher would make an excellent regular audition to the horror service’s lineup, especially if the service’s executives choose to flesh out their TV slate.

Has Shudder renewed Slasher Season 5?

No, as of right now, Shudder has not renewed the horror anthology series for a fifth season. However, it’s still relatively early, with the finale of Slasher: Flesh and Blood only airing last week. There is still plenty of time for the platform to order additional seasons.

When we chatted to creator Aaron Martin and showrunner Ian Carpenter about the potential for a new season, they said they were always thinking of ideas for the future! That’s a good sign for the show.

What would Slasher Season 5 be about?

Since the show hasn’t been renewed yet, it’s much too early to know what a potential fifth season would be about, although at least Martin and Carpenter are already considering the possibilities. Personally, I’d love to see a season set on a college campus à la Black Christmas and Sorority Row. But there is an entire realm of ideas that could work.
