Simon Barrett’s Seance movie was released in May, but where can you watch the teen slasher from home? Is the Seance movie streaming on Netflix?

Since releasing earlier this year, many fans have been eager to watch Seance at home and hoping it would eventually end up on a streaming service. Shudder is the first streaming platform to come to mind since it is the premier horror streaming service, so it makes sense for the film to go there.

However, it’s easy to see why many fans might have been hoping for the film to release on Netflix, which is still the most popular streaming service in the world. Plus, Netflix has its own fair share of horror films. Even though the film received mixed reviews from Rotten Tomatoes (ours was positive!), many are still interested in watching it.

Unfortunately, it’s not likely that you’ll find Seance on Netflix anytime soon, or potentially ever. Here’s why and where else you can stream the movie soon straight from the comfort of your home!

Where can you stream the new Seance movie online?

Even though Seance has already been released, Shudder acquired the rights to the film, making it a Shudder Original. That means you will only be able to stream Seance from Shudder, at least for now.

Seance will release on Shudder tomorrow, Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at approximately 12:00 a.m. ET. Sometimes the exact time can vary, but in general, Shudder releases their content at midnight.

You will need a Shudder subscription to watch Seance tomorrow. You can sign-up for the service through the website, app, or you can even purchase Shudder as an add-on channel through Amazon Video Channels and YouTube TV.

Seance is written and directed by Simon Barnett. The film stars Suki Waterhouse, Madisen Beaty, Ella-Rae Smith, Inanna Sarkis, Seamus Patterson, and Marina Stephenson-Kerr. It is rated R for bloody horror violence, language and some drug use.
