How to watch the Slumber Party Massacre remake tonight, October 16
By Mads Lennon
The Slumber Party Massacre remake is finally premiering tonight, Saturday, October 16, at 9 p.m. ET/PT! A contemporary take on the 1982 slasher cult classic, the new film is airing just in time for Halloween. It focuses on a slumber party that turns into a deadly bloodbath when a psychotic serial killer attacks with a power drill.
In the 1980s, the original movie was directed by Amy Holden Jones and soon spawned a trilogy and even two spinoff franchises: Sorority House Massacre and Cheerleader Massacre. This time around, the film will reimagine the 1982 movie and bring several fun, unique twists to the franchise. Danishka Esterhazy, who also directed The Banana Splits movie for SYFY and worked on SurrealEstate, directs this reimagining.
The film was produced by Shout! Studios and Blue Ice Pictures and executive produced by Esterhazy. Suzanne Keilly (Ash vs. Evil Dead) wrote the film, and Brent Haynes, Bob Emmer, Garson Foos and Jordan Fields also executive produced.
Slumber Party Massacre stars Hannah Gonera, Frances Sholto-Douglas, Mila Rayne, Alex McGregor, Reze-Tiana Wessels and Michael Lawrence Potter.
