Showtime was kind enough to release the Yellowjackets premiere an entire week early, so if you’ve already watched it, you might be curious as to who’s who in the Yellowjackets cast.

The survival thriller is part teen drama and part psychological horror with dual timelines in the late ’90s and present day. In 1996, the champion Yellowjackets soccer team boarded a plane from New Jersey to Seattle to compete in nationals, but they never made it to their destination.

The plane crashes in the northern wilderness, stranding the all-girl team and their coaches. They’re not rescued until 19 months later, and a number of terrible things have already occurred by then. In 2021, the remaining survivors are doing their best to keep their secrets hidden.

Yellowjackets cast: Who plays the teenagers?

Teenage Shauna

Sophie Nélisse plays teenage Shauna. You might recognize her from projects like 47 Meters Down: Uncaged or The Book Thief. She also won several awards for her acclaimed performance in the Canadian French-language film Monsieur Lazhar.

Teenage Taissa

Jamin Savoy Brown has starred in several notable projects throughout her career, including the short-lived Shonda Rhimes drama For the People, where she played Allison Adams. Brown also starred in the acclaimed HBO series The Leftovers and has made appearances in shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Grimm, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Fosters. She’ll also appear in Scream 5 as the character Mindy Meeks-Martin.

Teenage Natalie

Sophie Thatcher made her feature film debut alongside Pedro Pascal and Jay Duplass in the 2018 film Prospect. She also portrayed the main role of Becky Monroe in the Quibi series When the Streetlights Go On and previously appeared in four episodes of Chicago Med.

Teenage Misty

The young Misty is portrayed by Sammi Hanratty, who has been acting since she was a kid. The 26-year-old actress appeared in many Disney shows like That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Notably, she also recurred as Dollie Trask in Salem and Kassidi Gallagher in Shameless.

Teenage Jackie

Ella Purnell is no stranger to the horror genre as she is best known for her recent starring role in the Netflix film directed by Zack Snyder, Army of the Dead. She also starred in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and UFO. Melanie Lynskey is an award-winning New Zealand actress best known for her starring roles in Togetherness, Up in the Air, Heavenly Creatures, Two and a Half Men and The Intervention. Lynskey also played Molly Strand in Castle Rock and Rosemary Thompson in Mrs. America. She is set to appear in the upcoming Adam McKay film Don’t Look Up alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Adult Natalie

Juliette Lewis is probably the most recognizable name attached to the show as a long-time actress in Hollywood. Lewis has starred in tons of films throughout her prodigious career, including Cape Fear, for which she received an Academy Award nomination. She has also garnered Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations.

The 48-year-old star is also known for From Dusk Til Dawn, Natural Born Killers and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. More recently, she starred in Ma alongside Octavia Spencer, Breaking News in Yuba County, the Facebook Watch show Sacred Lies and the mystery anthology series Secrets and Lies.

Adult Misty

Apart from Lewis, Christina Ricci is also a well-known face immediately recognizable to most audiences. Ricci has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Ricci’s breakout role came from portraying Wednesday Addams in the 1991 version of The Addams Family and its sequel. She also starred in Casper and Now and Then. Later, Ricci earned acclaim for her performances in Sleepy Hollow and Monster.

Tawny Cypress is another notable American actress who has appeared in many television shows, and stage plays. She is probably best known for her starring role as Cherie Rollins-Murray in the television show Unforgettable, but she has also appeared in several other shows like The Blacklist and The Blacklist: Redemption. She also played Simone Deveaux in Heroes and Carly Heath on House of Cards.
