WandaVision breakout Agatha Harkness is officially getting her own series, and Kathryn Hahn is set to return as the iconic Marvel villainess. As part of the Disney+ Day celebration marking the second anniversary of the streaming service, Disney released the official title of the new Agatha series and some key art!

Disney announced that an Agatha spinoff series was in the works a little while ago, but they officially confirmed that the show is happening today as part of the celebratory occasion. It’s not a big surprise since Agatha was one of the most popular characters on the already-popular Marvel television series that kicked off a full slate of Marvel shows on the streaming service.

Hahn will reprise her role as the witch we last saw trapped in Westview after Wanda Maximoff defeated her. WandaVision head writer Jac Schaeffer will also be the head writer for the show.

What is the Agatha Harkness series called?

Agatha is a centuries-old witch from the Marvel comics who has served as an ally, mentor and antagonist to Wanda. In WandaVision, she went by “Agnes” and masqueraded as a kooky-yet-lovable neighbor before her true identity was revealed. Agatha was the primary antagonist in the series.

The upcoming show will be named Agatha: House of Harkness, which seems like a play on the comic books’ iconic “House of M” storyline. You can see the official title artwork here.

Agatha: House of Harkness release date

Disney has not shared any release date info, not even the year yet, so it’s hard to guess when it might come out. Marvel is notorious for being particular in scheduling their numerous shows and films because they have so many and they’re all interconnected. With a full slate of Marvel projects lined up for the streaming service, it’s challenging even to estimate when we might expect the show to debut.
