Spirit Halloween: Two new Funko Pop! figures debuting this year
By Carla Davis
Funko Pop! collectors who are also horror fans will be thrilled to hear about the all-new exclusive figures they can purchase only at Spirit Halloween stores (and online).
I don’t really consider myself a collector, though I do have a handful of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly figures. Last year I was giddy to see that my local Spirit Halloween store had a new Funko Pop! figure from my favorite Halloween movie Trick ‘r Treat, so I just had to get my very own Sam.
This year, Spirit Halloween and Funko have teamed up to offer not only another Trick ‘r Treat character, but also a character from one of the most iconic campy Halloween films out there, Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Both figures are available at the price of $14.99 on Spirit Halloween’s website now, and in select Spirit Halloween stores beginning this week.
Spirit Halloween Funko Pop! figures are a fun tribute to iconic characters
First up, let’s talk about the Killer Clowns figure, Blacklight Jumbo. The figure stands at 6.25 inches tall and features bold colors that glow under blacklight. Just for fun, Jumbo holds a mallet behind his back.
From Trick ‘r Treat, Funko has created the first ever Chuckles figure. You may not know that name immediately, but as soon as you set eyes on the 6.25 inch tall clown figure, you will recognize him as one of the doomed (and creepy looking) kids on the school bus.
If you are a horror movie fan who hasn’t gotten into the Funko Pop! craze yet, there is no better time. The figures are fairly compact, so they don’t take up a lot of room, and they are faithful renditions of the characters they portray. Not a big fan of Killer Klowns or Trick ‘r Treat? That’s ok, there are other iconic horror characters available for purchase at Spirit Halloween. The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus are there, along with Michael Myers and the aforementioned Sam.
