If you love Halloween Horror Nights, and you love Vegas, boy does Universal Parks and Resorts have great news for you! Universal is bringing a unique year-round horror experience to Vegas.

Located about 2 1/2 miles from the Vegas strip is an immersive entertainment district called AREA15. Since it opened in September, 2020, AREA15 has welcomed over 4 million visitors, entertaining them with unique shops, bars and restaurants, alongside ever-changing art installations and live entertainment. Now, Universal’s new horror experience will join the planned 20 acre expansion of AREA15 as the anchor tenant.

Anyone who has visited Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios knows what a great horror show they put on. So, why not bring that same atmospheric, bloody experience to Vegas, already known as an entertainment mecca? I will definitely go if I ever happen to be there!

The new concept will “bring to life Universal’s vast library of classic horror films and today’s most terrifying tales.” What sort of terrifying tales? Think classic horror like Frankenstein, The Mummy, Dracula and The Wolf Man alongside films more recently created by the likes of James Wan, Jordan Peele and Jason Blum.

What will be included in Universal Parks & Resorts new horror experience?

Along with horror-centric bars and eateries, the new space will include special merchandise, seasonal events and happenings, and experiences that will be updated regularly. All of this will be included in a very spooky 110,000 square foot space, perfect for any horror fan.

Winston Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of AREA15 describes his entertainment district as “a constellation of best-in-class experiences, and says Universal’s concept “will be a perfect fit, because our guests know they can expect fresh, exciting entertainment at AREA15.” He said they are grateful to welcome Universal into this new partnership role.

Even Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman is excited, and said she expects the entertainment provided will be exactly what both residents and visitors are looking for.
