Love & Death: Crime drama based on the Candy Montgomery case

On April 27, 2023, HBO Max premiered the highly anticipated crime drama miniseries, Love & Death. Directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by David E. Kelley, the series is based on the true story of Candy Montgomery, a Wylie, Texas, housewife who was accused of brutally murdering her friend Betty Gore with an axe in 1980.
The Cast of Love & Death
The show’s talented ensemble cast is led by Elizabeth Olsen, who portrays the accused murderer with chilling accuracy. Jesse Plemons stars as Allan Gore, Betty’s husband, while Lily Rabe plays Betty Gore.
