Terror Films will be debuting their new horror series The Dead Hour on May 12, which is less than a week away.

You know Terror Films for their low budget, yet extremely popular horror films such as The Taking of Deborah Logan, Savageland, and the Hell House LLC series. A couple of Terror Films’ newer films that have received positive reviews from 1428 Elm include The Andy Baker Tape and CRAM. Now, Terror Films is dipping a toe into the horror series pool for the first time with The Dead Hour.

The Dead Hour is a 12-episode anthology series, with each episode introduced by a demented DJ named Raven, played by Melissa Holder. There will be a completely different cast for each of the stories presented. Creators Daniel B. Iske and Scott Coleman cite The Twilight Zone as their inspiration for the horror series.

"“We created our setup, a delightful yet twisted radio DJ in a dark booth late at night, telling her audience creepy tales. We would start each episode with her opening setup monologue, and then we’d jump into the story as it plays out on screen.”"

Iske and Coleman said they crafted hundreds of storylines before narrowing the list down to twelve. They stuck with tales they were relevant to the culture and feel of the current times, and promise to present us with not only external monsters, but with plenty of the type of monsters that live inside the human heart as well.
