Now that August is over we are one step closer to spooky season and there are plenty of movies to watch if you haven't already. Shudder just announced all the horror movies that are streaming on their platform for the month of September. Here are the five best horror movies that are actually worth watching:
1. Bride of Frankenstein (1935)
After Dr. Frankenstein's initial success in creating life, he is pushed to do it again. Frankenstein's Monster is still on the loose and is misunderstood based on his looks and inability to interact with others. Forced to create life by the Monster and his former mentor, he reluctantly gives the Monster a wife.

Sarah moves to a new school and in hopes of fitting in she joins a coven of witches. As their powers continue to grow, Sarah begins to question her new friends' motives and if she can put a stop to their magic before it's too late.

Patrick Bateman lives a seemingly normal life. He wakes up, works out, and then goes to his job just like everyone else. But by night he begins to give into his violent tendencies by killing people. Bateman tries to keep his double life a secret but quickly loses control.

Following the first film 28 Days Later the rage virus has nearly wiped out the British Isles. The army tries to instill hope that the virus is over and it is time to rebuild. However, one of the soldiers is secretly a carrier of the virus.

5. Dangerous Animals (2025)
Zephyr is a free spirit who enjoys being alone especially while surfing. This lead to her eventual kidnapping by a serial killer who is obsessed with feeding his victims to sharks. Zephyr is willing to do anything to escape her kidnapper and make it out alive.
