This is revealed after the coven completes the third trial on the Witches' Road. Sadly, Alice meets her demise during this trial after Agatha siphons her powers and drains her of her life force.

This angers Teen/Billy, who then confronts Agatha. It's during this confrontation that his true identity is revealed. We get to see him use his powers for the first time when he possesses Jen and Lilia to throw Agatha into a mud trap before he sends them into a separate mud trap. So, what's next?

The sixth episode takes us way back to before Teen/Billy meets Agatha. He gets ready for his bar mitzvah, and we find out in this moment that his name isn't Teen, nor is it Billy. Instead, it's William Kaplan. Huh? Don't worry, you'll understand later.

Teen/Billy/William seems to come from two loving parents, Jeff and Rebecca. They throw him a party, and he decides to get his palm read by a palm reader at the party. And guess who the palm reader is. It's none other than Lilia Calderu! As she reads his palm, the lights begin to flicker in the tent. She looks at him with a shocked expression as she tells him, "Your lifeline is broken in two."

William starts panicking, and Lilia tries to assure him that everything is okay. She tells him, "You're becoming a man. A new you." She then spaces out and randomly says, "The Tower Reversed." Confused by Lilia's sudden outburst, William doesn't stay to finish his palm reading. He leaves the tent to go back to the party, not knowing he left his coat behind.

Lilia seems to enter back into a trance as she takes out a wooden block and draws a sigil on it. She looks over at William's coat and slides it into the pocket. After doing so, she quickly forgets she even did it. Yep, she was definitely in some sort of trance. She picks up the coat and hands it over to a random lady at the party, telling her some kid left it in her tent.

As the party goes on, the police show up to alert everyone that something is going on with the anomaly in Westview. Everyone must go home. William, Jeff, and Rebecca, like everyone else at the party, quickly make their way to their houses in Eastview. On the drive back home, William finds the sigil in his coat pocket. Distracted by the now shrinking red hex in the sky, Rebecca accidentally almost runs into another car on the road, but she swerves just in time to miss it. However, she ends up veering off the road, and the car smashes into a tree.

An injured Rebecca and Jeff wake up and look in the backseat to see a bloody, unconscious William. They call over a nearby cop for assistance, who happens to be Alice. Meanwhile, William's heart stops beating, meaning he's passed away. But then the soul of Billy Maximoff enters into his body, and his heart starts beating again. This is what Lilia meant earlier about his lifeline being broken into two. He was once William Kaplan, but now he's Billy Maximoff living in William's body. Billy suddenly awakens and yells out, "Tommy!" If you read the Marvel comics or watched Wandavision, you'd know that Tommy is Billy's twin brother.

Rebecca and Jeff return with cop Alice to see who they think is their son William alive and awake. Billy is then taken to the hospital by ambulance. As the paramedics ask him questions about who he is and if he remembers what happened, Billy shakes his head to tell them no. He sees his reflection in a mirror and starts panicking since he doesn't recognize himself. He doesn't recognize Rebecca or Jeff either.

While at the hospital, Billy discovers he can read minds when he hears the thoughts of Rebecca and Jeff. Jeff and Rebecca tell him that he can be discharged from the hospital since all his scans came back clean, but he'll have to struggle with amnesia for a little longer. It's supposed to go away on its own according to Rebecca. But viewers know that amnesia isn't what Billy's struggling with. Since he's no longer William, he doesn't have William's memories anymore. That's why he can't remember anything. However, he decides to play along and continue to act as if he's William for Rebecca and Jeff's sake.

After returning to the house, the family dog, Greg, immediately starts barking at Billy. The dog even recognizes that William is no longer in his body but has been taken over by someone else. At this moment, Billy hears Rebecca and Jeff's thoughts again. Billy heads upstairs and looks around William's room before standing in front of a mirror and repeating over and over again that he's William Kaplan.

The episode then cuts to three years later. Billy sits in a car with his boyfriend, Eddie. Eddie asks about the sigil block that he always carries around, but Billy doesn't say much about it. As they share a kiss, Billy hears Eddie's thoughts of wanting to tell him he loves him. He suddenly breaks away from the kiss and tells Eddie that he has something he needs to say to him. For the past three years, Billy has been pretending to be William, but now he wants to come clean to his boyfriend.

Billy explains to him how he's not William Kaplan and that William died the night of the car accident. However, Billy doesn't really know who he is at the moment. He just knows that he's not William. Eddie then asks Billy who he is which prompts Billy to take him back to his house to show him what he's been working on.

After returning to his house, Billy shows Eddie what he's been researching. He had been looking into the red hex from three years ago and shows Eddie footage of it online. He points out in the footage that there are runes in the hex. Billy believes it's witchcraft, but no one from Westview wants to talk about it. Well, everyone but this mysterious man on Reddit who agrees to meet up with him in a parking garage the following night. Eddie decides to go with Billy.

As they approach the mysterious man in a trench coat in the parking garage, it turns out to be Ralph Bohner, aka Wanda's fake brother Pietro from the alternate reality. However, he tells Billy and Eddie to call him Randall. Randall explains what happened back then when Wanda had the whole town of Westview acting out what he calls a "weird, sad sitcom plot." Billy then hear Randall's thoughts. He doesn't want them to ask about Agatha Harkness, but Billy does just that.

Randall tells him that Agatha is an ancient witch who pretty much ruined his life and made him do horrible things. He also mentions how he was a terrible influence on Wanda and Vision's kids. Billy asks what their kids names were and Randall tells him Billy and Tommy. He calls Tommy a "little speedster" and says that Billy could read minds. At this moment, Billy is starting to realize his true identity as Billy Maximoff.

He asks Randall what happened to Wanda, Vision, Billy, and Tommy and Randall tells him that Wanda is dead, Vision was used for parts, and Billy and Tommy just disappeared. Randall believes the twin brothers got sucked up into Wanda's hex. He then tells Billy that Agatha still lives in Westview and is under some spell. He warns Billy not to visit her, but Billy wants answers so he doesn't listen to him.

Back at home, Billy listens to Lorna Wu's version of the Ballad as he makes notes about Wanda, Vision, Tommy, and Billy Maximoff. He decides to look up Agatha on the internet and finds out that she's the only survivor of the Witches' Road. After looking into the Witches' Road, he realizes that it could possibly give him what he's been missing. And what is that? Well, he wants to find his missing twin brother, Tommy. Since Agatha is the only witch who has survived the Road, he goes to track her down in Westview in hopes that she'll join him on the Road again. But first, he needs to break the spell she's under.

Now, we watch the whole scene from episode 1 play out again of Agatha/Agnes finding Billy in her home. But now we see it from Billy's point of view. After Agatha catches him, she doesn't actually take him to the police station like we saw in episode 1. The whole interrogation scene happens at her house. While Agatha is distracted, Billy starts chanting the release spell to free her. Agatha yells for him to stop before she duct tapes his wrists and then throws him in the closet.

We're then taken back to the scene from episode 1 when Agatha releases Billy from the closet and asks who he is. In the first episode, the sigil prevented us from hearing who he was. But in episode 6, we're able to hear him tell her that his name is William Kaplan before admitting that he's actually Billy Maximoff. Agatha can't hear him, though.

The episode then cuts to the present, where we see a muddy Agatha making her way out of the mud trap. Meanwhile, Teen sits on a log somewhere on the Road. He looks at the wooden sigil in his hand before crushing it, ultimately breaking the spell. Agatha finds Billy and confronts him. Billy asks her when she found out about his true identity. She tells him she had an idea of who he could be when they first met. Agatha then says, "It's nice to see you again, Billy." Since Agatha is able to say his name, Billy now knows the spell has been broken.

Lilia and Jen are believed to be dead at this point after Billy throws them into a mud trap, but viewers know this isn't true because they appear in the mid-season trailer. Agatha thinks Billy will still want to team up with her to finish the other trials, but Billy refuses to join forces at first. However, he changes his mind when he realizes he doesn't have complete control of his powers. During this scene, we also get confirmation that Billy wants to find his missing brother at the end of the Road. Agatha now knows this too. On to the next trial, they go!
