Sci-fi horror fans, we have something to look forward to this Thanksgiving. In November, Hulu will be releasing the smash-hit sci-fi horror flick Alien: Romulus on its platform. Are we surprised by this? Not really, because we predicted a November streaming release when the film first hit theaters back in August. We're just glad that it's actually happening!
Mark your calendar for Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, because that's when Alien: Romulus will be available to stream on Hulu. While it's not a family movie per se, it could still be watched with most of the family on Thanksgiving. You'll just want to make sure the younger kids are busy doing something else. This R-rated film is definitely not for the kids!
If you can't wait until the movie makes its way to streaming, you currently have the option to rent or purchase it on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Microsoft Store, or Apple TV. It's also available to buy on Google Play or YouTube. The physical release date is on Dec. 3, 2024, which means you'll be able to purchase the DVD and Blu-Ray.
Directed by Fede Álvarez, Alien: Romulus follows six young space colonists who find themselves in a fight for survival after coming across hostile alien creatures while scavenging a deserted space station. It's the seventh movie in the Alien franchise and takes place between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986).
The amazingly talented cast is made up of Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. After being released in theaters in August 2024, it eventually went on to accumulate over $350 million worldwide against a $80 million budget. In fact, it's the second-highest-grossing Alien film. And fans don't have to worry about a follow-up because a sequel is currently being worked on with Álvarez, Spaeny, and Jonsson potentially returning.
Alien: Romulus is set to land on Hulu on Nov. 21. Will you be streaming the hit sci-fi horror film?
