As the spirits offer advice, Finney must use their guidance to come up with a way to escape and survive.

Unfortunately, plot details about the sequel are being kept under wraps. However, we do know that

Five Nights at Freddy's 2

Release date: Dec. 5, 2025

Released in 2023, Five Nights at Freddy's surprisingly stood out as one of the best video game-to-movie adaptations. Now, we have a sequel that's set to be released at the end of the year, and fans are eagerly anticipating what new horrors and thrills await.

The first film saw troubled security guard Mike Schmidt taking on a night shift at an abandoned pizzeria. But what initially appears to be a simple job quickly turns into a nightmare when the animatronic characters in the building start coming to life and wreaking havoc.

Similar to The Black Phone 2, plot details for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 are being kept hush-hush. Aside from the confirmed release date, the only other key information available is that Scott Cawthon contributed to the script, with Emma Tammi taking on the directing role. Additionally, Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, and Elizabeth Lail all return in their roles from the first film in the sequel.
