AMC Networks lent executive producers from their Anne Rice Immortal Universe series to present a panel at ATX TV Festival on May 30. Attendees at the panel were given the 411 on both new and returning series, along with plenty of cast news, photos and storyline updates.

The panel, which was titled Vampires, Witches, and Other Secret Societies: Inside AMC’s Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe, included Executive Producers Mark Johnson (who is responsible for overseeing the Anne Rice projects for AMC), Showrunners/EP’s Rolin Jones (Interview with the Vampire) and John Lee Hanock and Mark Lafferty of Talamasca. Also present was AMC’s President of Entertainment and AMC Studios, Dan McDermott.

The newest series in the Anne Rice Immortal Universe will be Anne Rice’s Talamasca. First-look photos were shared, and the series will make its premiere in October on both AMC and AMC+. The world of Talamasca features witches and vampires, so there is a little bit of everything horror related. Celine Buckens appears as Doris, one of the witches, and Jason Schwartzman plays Burton, described as a “charming, rakish vampire, leading a cloistered life in a luxurious Upper West Side penthouse.”

Talamasca also stars Nicholas Denton, Elizabeth McGovern, William Fichtner and Maisie Richardson-Sellars. The storyline involves a secret society called the Talamasca, in which men and women are tasked with tracking and keeping tags on vampires, witches, and other assorted creatures around the world.

The third season of Interview with the Vampire is in the works, and production should begin soon in Toronto. For the new season, the series’ focus will be on vampire Lestat (Sam Reid) as he tours with his rock band (yes, you read that right). It is based on Rice’s novel The Vampire Lestat. The stakes are high for season three, since the first two seasons have a score of 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. Interview with the Vampire has also received mostly positive reviews from critics, and the new season is expected to debut sometime in 2026.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches’ third season will take place in Salem, Massachusetts, which was of course the site of the Salem Witch Trials. Some of Salem’s very real history will be portrayed, along with some fictional events as well. The new season is currently in the writing stage of development. The season premiere date for season three of Mayfair Witches has not yet been announced, but 1428 Elm will keep you up-to-date as more news is released.
