Stephen is a contributing writer for 1428 Elm and has been a massive horror and sci-fi fanatic since seeing Friday the 13th and The Blob (1988) at age five. He’s currently the Editor-at-Large for Horror Geek Life and a former Associate Editor for Screen Rant and MovieWeb. He’s been writing professionally about horror since 2020 and has 10+ years of copyediting experience. Stephen has interviewed some of the biggest names in the horror genre, including Tony Todd, Dee Wallace, Linnea Quigley, and Paul Tremblay. He’s also had his articles read and shared by John Carpenter and Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro. Outside of watching as many horror films as possible, Stephen is an avid reader of horror and sci-fi novels and comics. His favorite horror authors include Stephen King, Ronald Malfi, Joe Hill, and Stephen Graham Jones.
