We're nearing the halfway mark of the year, and 2025 has already delivered some chilling moments for horror fans. Don't worry, though. There are plenty more scary movies on the way! In fact, the rest of 2025 is packed with highly anticipated horror films that are sure to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
We're talking sequels such as M3GAN 2.0, A Breed Apart, 28 Years Later, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Final Destination Bloodlines, The Conjuring: Last Rites, The Strangers: Chapter 2 and Five Nights at Freddy's 2. However, it's not just the sequels that horror fans should be keeping an eye on. The rest of 2025 will also feature some brand-new, original horror films that promise to bring fresh terror to the big screen.

Bring Her Back

After their smash-hit supernatural horror Talk to Me, Danny and Michael Philippou are back with their second horror entry Bring Her Back. Set to be released by A24 this May, the horror film follows a brother and sister who find themselves in a nightmarish situation when they discover that their new foster mom is performing a horrifying ritual on their new brother in their home.

Real-life husband and wife Alison Brie and Dave Franco star in this body horror flick as a married couple, Millie and Tim, who experience something supernatural after moving to a rural area. This supernatural incident causes major changes in their lives, with it not only affecting their relationship, but also their existence and physical forms.

Zach Cregger is finally back with his next horror project after his hit horror thriller Barbarian. It's called Weapons, and it looks to be one of the creepiest films of the year. The plot revolves around a small town where a bunch of children mysteriously vanish in the middle of the night. But what makes the situation even more bizarre is that the kids don't look to have been kidnapped. Instead, they walked right out of their houses themselves. From the trailer, you can see them dressed in their pajamas, running across the street. Now tell me that isn't creepy!

Marlon Wayans makes his return to horror in this Jordan Peele-produced film. He plays the role of a legendary quarterback named Isaiah White, who offers to train an up-and-coming QB at his compound, only for the training to take a dark and twisted turn due to his sinister nature. Tyriq Withers (I Know What You Did Last Summer) portrays the role of the young football player, Cameron Cade.

- Shelby Oaks (Aug. 22) - When her younger sister Riley mysteriously vanishes while shooting an investigative series in an abandoned town, Mia becomes convinced that she might still be alive. Determined to uncover the truth, Mia embarks on a frantic search to piece together what happened. However, as she delves deeper into the mystery, she begins to fear that something dark and sinister may be behind Riley's disappearance.
- Keeper (Oct. 3) - Malcolm and Liz head to a secluded cabin for a romantic anniversary getaway. However, when Malcolm unexpectedly departs for the city, Liz is left behind and soon discovers a terrifying, dark presence lurking within the cabin.
