A24 has confirmed the release of only two horror films this year, both of which have already been released in theaters: Opus and Death of a Unicorn. Now, one of those films, the highly underrated Death of a Unicorn, is reportedly hitting digital platforms tomorrow. If you missed it on the big screen, don't miss the chance to stream it and experience it from the comfort of your own home.

Starting on Tuesday, April 29, Death of a Unicorn will reportedly be available to rent or buy through digital retailers such as Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Apple TV+, etc. As of April 28, you can currently pre-order the horror comedy on these sites for $24.99 before taxes. Once it officially releases on digital, the purchase price is also anticipated to remain at $24.99, while rental options will likely be offered for around $19.99. This is the typical pricing model for new A24 digital releases. In fact, this is what the pricing was for Opus when it was first released on digital platforms.

Death of a Unicorn is also expected to eventually receive a physical media and streaming release, though no official dates have been announced yet. However, it will most likely land on Max when it comes to a streaming platform due to an output deal between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery. We'll come back and let you know as soon as more details are available.

The horror comedy was written and helmed by Alex Scharfman. Jenna Ortega stars as a teenage girl named Ridley Kintner who joins her widowed father, Elliot Kintner (Paul Rudd), on a trip to a crisis management summit. However, things quickly take a bizarre turn when they accidentally hit a unicorn on the way. In a panic, they decide to conceal the animal in their car and continue on to the summit. After Elliot's boss discovers the mythical creature, he and his team of scientists become obsessed with exploiting its supernatural healing abilities, unaware that the unicorn's parents will soon arrive to exact their bloody revenge.

Will Poulter, Téa Leoni, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Carrigan, Jessica Hynes, and others also join Ortega and Rudd in the cast.
