Shudder and RLJE Films have acquired the rights to a new horror/thriller film called Night Patrol. The film will have its world premiere screening at 2025 Fantastic Fest, which runs from September 18 through September 25.

Ryan Prows (Lowlife) directed the film, and also co-wrote it with Shaye Ogbonna (The Penguin), Jake Gibson (He Bled Neon) and Tim Cairo (Off Ramp).

Night Patrol tells the story of an officer for the Los Angeles Police Department. The officer finds out that a task force has been endangering people in the local housing projects where he grew up. In order to get the help of the local street gangs, he will have to put aside his biases against, and differences with them.

Night Patrol stars Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening), Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers, Barbarian), Freddie Gibbs (Down with the King), Jake Gibson (He Bled Neon), CM Punk (Girl on the Third Gloor), Flying Lotus (Ash), YG (White Boy Rick), Dermot Mulroney (Scream IV), Nicki Micheax (The Shield) and Jon Oswald (Lowlife).

It’s expected that Night Patrol will hit theaters some time in 2026.

With Shudder’s involvement, it seems likely that Night Patrol will come to the horror/thriller streaming platform shortly after its theatrical release.

Director Ryan Prows said he was “thrilled that we’re partnering with RLJE and Shudder to bring Night Patrol to theaters.”

Chief Acquisitions Offer of RLJE Films Mark Ward describes Night Patrol as “an audacious, high-stakes horror-thriller with a powerhouse ensemble cast and Heart-pounding tension.”

RLJE Films is also responsible for such cult films as Mandy, Bone Tomahawk, Clown in a Cornfield, Arcadian, the recent Children of the Corn reboot and shark thriller No Way Up.
