Horror enthusiasts have something to look forward to as Kate Siegel (Hush) and David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil) will be starring together in the upcoming zombie film Epilogue, which will be produced by one of the kings of horror, Mike Flanagan. Below, we shared all there is to know about this movie so far.
Described as an action-horror flick, Epilogue will be directed by Michael Fimognari. Fimognari is known for directing episodes of the Netflix horror series The Midnight Club and The Fall of the House of Usher. He will be helming this movie from a script co-written by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason.
The story takes place a year after the zombie apocalypse is believed to have ended, and follows a desperate couple searching for a cure for their infected daughter. Although Siegel and Dastmalchian's roles in the film haven't been revealed, our guess is that they'll play the couple. We'll let you know once we know their exact roles. They're the only two actors who have been cast so far.
Flanagan, Courtney Petrakis, and Brittney McDade are producing this film for Red Room Pictures, while Todd Garner is producing for Broken Road Productions. As reported by Deadline, The Coven is set to kick off sales next week for this movie at the American Film Market (AFM).
Siegel is well-known in the horror world, having starred in many horror projects over her acting career. Some of her acting work includes roles in the horror movies Hush, Oculus, Ouija: Origin of Evil and Gerald's Game. She also starred in the horror shows The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher, which were all created by her husband and filmmaker Mike Flanagan.
Dastmalchian is known for starring in the supernatural horror film Late Night with the Devil. You might've also watched him in the movies Prisoners, The Suicide Squad, Boston Strangler, The Boogeyman, Oppenheimer, The Last Voyage of the Demeter and Afraid. One of his most recent projects was starring in the sci-fi drama The Life of Chuck, which is set to be released in the U.S. by Neon in 2025.
