With a mix of fresh stories and thrilling continuations, February is set to be a month full of thrills and chills. The excitement is already building, and this is definitely a month you won't want to miss!
Here's what horror content you should be on the lookout for this February.
Heart Eyes
- Theatrical release date: Feb. 7, 2025
- Director: Josh Ruben
- Writers: Phillip Murphy, Christopher Landon, Michael Kennedy
- Cast: Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Michaela Watkins, Devon Sawa, Jordana Brewster
Heart Eyes is one of the first horror movies to hit theaters in February. This film comes from the same producers who brought us Scream and Scream VI, so we have high hopes that it will be just as intense and entertaining. It's a rom-com slasher that introduces horror fans to a new serial killer, the Heart Eyes killer.
Heart Eyes dons a mask, much like many iconic serial killers in horror films, and it’s perfectly suited to the killer's name. The mask is designed with two glowing hearts where the eyes should be. I don't know about you, but that sounds creepy!
For the past two years, Heart Eyes has terrorized and killed romantic couples on what is supposed to be a day to celebrate love, aka Valentine's Day. This Valentine’s Day, the killer begins his deadly rampage in Seattle. Two co-workers find themselves caught in the midst of the chaos when they're mistaken for a couple by the killer, and now they must quickly figure out how to survive and escape his relentless pursuit.
Yellowjackets season 3
- Release date: Feb. 14, 2025 on Paramount+ with Showtime
- Creators: Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson

Yellowjackets fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the long-awaited new season is almost here! The third installment is set to premiere on Valentine’s Day, and this time, we’re not just getting one episode—but two!
Following the shocking events of the season 2 finale, the survivors in the 1996 timeline will be forced to adapt and make the best of their dire situation after their only shelter has been destroyed by fire. Meanwhile, in the present timeline, the survivors are left to deal with the aftermath of losing one of their own. Based on the trailer above, Yellowjackets season 3 looks like another wild and unpredictable ride, and we can't wait to see what happens next.
Dark Nuns
- Theatrical release date: Feb. 7, 2025
- Director: Kwon Hyeok-jae
- Cast: Song Hye-kyo, Jeon Yeo-been, Lee Jin-wook, Moon Woo-jin
Dark Nuns will hit theaters on the same day as Heart Eyes. However, unlike Heart Eyes, which will have a wide theatrical release, Dark Nuns will be playing in select U.S. theaters only. Before even getting into what the movie is about, the cast will certainly draw your attention. I mean, you have The Glory's Song Hye-kyo and Sweet Home's Lee Jin-wook starring in leading roles. That already sounds like a powerhouse combination, doesn't it?
The supernatural horror centers around two nuns who take it upon themselves to perform a dangerous and forbidden exorcism ritual on a young boy possessed by a malevolent spirit. However, this puts both of their lives in jeopardy and in opposition to the Church, which is strongly against their actions.
Newtopia
- Release date: Feb. 7, 2025 on Prime Video
- Director: Yoon Sung-hyun
- Writers: Han Jin-won and Ji Ho-jin
- Cast: Park Jeong-min, Jisoo, Tang Jun-sang, Lee Hak-joo, Kim Jun-han
Newtopia is a brand-new horror series premiering this February. It's a Korean zombie series starring Jisoo and Park Jeong-min as a couple who find themselves trapped in a Seoul overrun by zombies.
Jae-yoon and his girlfriend Young-joo are facing difficulties in their relationship, leading them to decide to take a break. However, on the day they choose to separate, a sudden zombie outbreak sweeps through Seoul. As the city descends into chaos, Jae-yoon and Young-joo struggle to survive the mayhem while trying to make their way back to each other.
The Monkey

The Monkey is adapted from Stephen King's horror short story of the same name. King himself has even given his stamp of approval on this movie, ensuring fans of his work that it is worth the watch. He expressed his opinions on the project on his official Threads account, calling the film "batsh*t insane."
In this horror-comedy, Theo James plays twin brothers Hal and Bill, who work together to put a stop to a cursed toy monkey whose presence is linked to tragic and deadly events.
