One of the most eagerly awaited shows of the year is making its return to Netflix, this time in two parts. Wednesday season 2 will premiere with part 1 on Aug. 6, followed by the second and final installment on Sept. 3.

This marks a shift from the first season, which premiered with all episodes available at once. Netflix has been experimenting more frequently with split-season releases, a strategy aimed at building sustained buzz and keeping audiences engaged over a longer period of time. We'll see how this ends up playing out for Wednesday, but given the horror show's massive fanbase, it’s likely to keep viewers hooked until the very end.

A few weeks ago, Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for Wednesday season 2, instantly sparking excitement among fans. The brief preview offered a small taste of what’s to come in the new season. Now, the streaming giant has unveiled another teaser. This time, showcasing even more of the Addams family.

We also get to see more of Grandmama (Joanna Lumley), a new Addams family member who will be introduced this season. She is Wednesday's grandmother, with whom she has a close bond. We got a sneak peek of Grandmama in the first teaser, but now we actually get to see Lumley speak about working on the show in this new teaser.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created Wednesday. Jenna Ortega stars in the titular role as Wednesday Addams. At the end of the first season, Wednesday figures out the mystery surrounding the Hyde monster, discovering that the monster is actually Tyler. She also defeats Marilyn Thornhill/Laurel Gates and Crackstone before leaving Nevermore Academy for home. But on her way home, she finds out she has a mysterious stalker. In Wednesday season 2, Wednesday is back at Nevermore to start a new semester. But like the previous semester, trouble awaits.

She’ll find herself facing new enemies and challenges and navigating complex relationships with family and friends, all while unraveling a chilling new supernatural mystery. What that mystery is remains shrouded in secrecy. But if it's anything like the mystery from last season, viewers are in for a thrilling ride. Plus, who is her stalker? The second season is sure to dive more into this.

We're still waiting on the Wednesday season 2 official trailer. Netflix will likely release it closer to the show's release date. We can see the streaming giant dropping it sometime in July. Netflix usually releases trailers for its shows a month before their release. Once the trailer is out, you can count on us to share it with you right away. But for now, you must stay tuned to 1428 Elm!
