Note: Some of the titles listed below aren't exactly of the horror genre but have horror elements to them or are horror-adjacent. That's why we included them on the list.
The Conjuring (2013)
Netflix release date: June 1, 2024
Serving as the first installment in the highly successful The Conjuring film series, The Conjuring stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as renowned paranormal investigators who work to eliminate a dark supernatural presence terrorizing a family in their secluded farmhouse. Also joining them in the cast are Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor, Shanley Caswell, Hayley McFarland, Joey King, Mackenzie Foy, and others.
The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Netflix release date: June 1, 2024
Due to the success of The Conjuring, a sequel was ordered, The Conjuring 2. In this film, Farmiga and Wilson reprise their roles as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. After an English family begins experiencing poltergeist activity in their home, the Warrens are called in to investigate. But what they end up discovering is a far more sinister demonic entity terrorizing the family. Joining Farmiga and Wilson in the cast for the sequel are Frances O'Connor, Madison Wolfe, Simon McBurney, Franka Potente, and others.
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Netflix release date: June 1, 2024
The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, otherwise known as The Conjuring 3, sees Farmiga and Wilson returning as Ed and Lorraine Warren to investigate the murder case of a young man accused of stabbing his landlord to death. The young man claims demonic possession as a defense, and Ed and Lorraine work to try to prove his innocence. Ruairi O'Connor, Sarah Catherine Hook, Julian Hilliard, John Noble, Eugenie Bondurant, Shannon Kook, and others join Farmiga and Wilson in the cast.
Under Paris (2024)
Netflix release date: June 5, 2024
Under Paris is a creature feature centering around a brilliant scientist named Sophia, who after discovering that a giant shark is swimming deep in the Seine River, must do everything she can to prevent an international bloodbath, including facing her tragic past. Bérénice Bejo stars in the leading role of Sophia. Nassim Lyes, Léa Léviant, Iñaki Lartigue and José Antonio Pedrosa Moreno also star.
Joko Anwar's Nightmares and Daydreams (2024)
Netflix release date: June 14, 2024
In this mind-bending Indonesian series, viewers watch as ordinary people encounter supernatural sci-fi phenomena "that may be keys to the answer about the origin of our world and the imminent threat we will soon face." The series has seven episodes in total, which lead up to a big showdown in the finale. Ario Bayu, Marissa Anita, Asmara Abigail, Fachry Albar, Lukman Sardi, Nirina Zubir, Yoga Pratama, Sita Nursanti, and many others star.
Dexter (2006-2013)
Netflix release date: June 19, 2024
After almost four years, all eight seasons of Dexter will finally be returning to Netflix in June 2024. It's a crime drama series centering around a Miami-based forensic blood spatter analyst named Dexter Morgan, who leads a double life as a vigilante serial killer, taking down the guilty. Golden Globe Award-winning actor Michael C. Hall stars in the leading role of Dexter Morgan. In addition, Julie Benz, Jennifer Carpenter, Erik King, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, James Remar, and others join him in the cast.
