AMC Networks releases a first look trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live

Walking Dead fans have been waiting impatiently for the newest series in The Walking Dead Universe, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Now AMC Networks has dropped the first trailer for the series.

The Ones Who Live is special, because it reunites viewers with two beloved characters, Rick Grimes and Michonne (played by Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira). In season ten of The Walking Dead, Michonne came across evidence that Rick might actually still be alive, and made the decision to find him.

The new series picks up with Michonne’s search for her beloved. Lincoln and Gurira return to their roles, and The Ones Who Live also sees the return of Jadis, played by Pollyanna McIntosh. Also appearing is actor Terry O’Quinn (Lost, The Stepfather) in the role of Major General Beale.

Going by the trailer, which you can watch below, it looks like The Ones Who Live features all of the things fans love about The Walking Dead series: fire power, human drama, interesting characters and those walkers!

The original The Walking Dead series was a huge phenomenon, attracting millions of viewers from its first episode on October 31, 2010. Since that time, six additional series have been added: Fear the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Dead City, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and now The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.

AMC Networks’ description of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live asks the question:

“Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead... And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they've ever known before?

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will premiere on Sunday, February 25 on both AMC and AMC+. It is executive produced by TWD showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Andrew Lincoln, Dani Gurira, Brian Bockrath and Denise Huth.
