A haunting refrain of "Silent Night" plays over the first official teaser for Terrifier 3, the next gruesome film in Damien Leone's slasher trilogy centering around the maniacal clown killer Art, played by David Howard Thornton.

Opening on a clip showing Lauren LaVera returning as final girl Sienna Shaw, the Terrifier 3 teaser soon flashes to scenes where we see Art in his Santa Claus get-up, wielding an ax and hacking into something, probably a person.

Additional moments in the teaser give us a proper look at poor Victoria "Vicky" Heyes, the final girl from the first Terrifier movie who has since undergone a monstrous transformation. It was Vicky who "birthed" this new version of Art in the Terrifier 2 mid-credits scene after Sienna decapitated the former version of the killer.

In Terrifier 3, Art has become possessed by a malevolent entity. As you can see from the teaser and first-look photos, he's back to terrorize Miles County in time for the holidays this year. He'll ruin everyone's festive joy.

The teaser wraps up with an extended sequence of Art lying down in a pool of blood and making his own little blood angel, a reminder of the oddly charming whimsy we've come to expect from this character even amid all of the carnage.

Despite the Christmas-themed setting, fans won't have to wait until December for Art's return. The film will be released exclusively in theaters starting on October 11.

Besides the teaser, there's also a brand new poster, and it looks like Art will be murdering the real Santa (or a mall Santa) to steal his outfit before taking over his job. The bottom of the post shows Santa's bloody remains as Art perches Vicky on his lap. Gross. And yes, the third entry in the trilogy is supposedly the "goriest" yet.
