A fourth film has been set in The Twisted Childhood Universe, and this time, it's a dark reimagining of the beloved children's character, Peter Pan. The horror movie is titled Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, and we've got all the juicy deets about it to share with you below.

The Twisted Childhood Universe is a British multimedia franchise created by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. It consists of independent slasher-horror films that serve as horror retellings of childhood characters. It all started with the 2023 slasher Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, a horror reimagining of the anthropomorphic teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh.

Due to the success of this film, a sequel was ordered titled Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, followed by a horror reimagining of the children's character Bambi in Bambi: The Reckoning. Now, we have an upcoming horror film centering around the leader of the Lost Boys, Peter Pan, in Peter Pan''s Neverland Nightmare. But it's a twisted take on what we all know as the boy who never grows up.

Frake-Waterfield's Jagged Edge Productions produces the film. In addition, Scott Jeffrey directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Frake-Waterfield. Martin Portlock stars as the titular character, Peter Pan, who is described as an "evil, murderous, and disfigured version of the children’s character."

Take a look at Portlock as the twisted version of Peter Pan in new photo from Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare via Bloody Disgusting on X:

Joining Portlock in the cast are Megan Placito (Wendy Darling), Peter Desouza-Feighoney (Michael Darling), Kit Green (Tinker Bell), Nicholas Woodeson, Kierston Wareing, Olumide Olorunfemi, Teresa Banham, Charity Kase (Captain James Hook), and Campbell Wallace.

The story follows Wendy Darling as she embarks on a journey to find and rescue her brother, Michael, who has been taken by the evil Peter Pan. Along her journey, she meets Tinker Bell, who is far different from the Tinker Bell we know and love. This twisted version of Tinker Bell will be shown smoking heroin, believing it to be pixie dust. In fact, Frake-Waterfield describes this version of Tinker Bell as a "heavily obese, recovering drug addict."

Production officially started on the film on May 9, 2024, in the United Kingdom and is still currently ongoing. Additionally, a theatrical release is expected this Halloween. Once we have an official release date, we'll be sure to share it right away. But for now, this is all we know about Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare.
