Here's what horror movies and shows are coming to Starz in October 2024

It's almost time to say goodbye to September and hello to October, and we couldn't be more excited! Why? Well, the best holiday is in October. Halloween! It's officially spooky season, and the various streaming platforms are getting their subscribers ready for Halloween by dropping tons of horror movies and shows.

This October, Starz will be releasing a lot of horror content on its platform. Are you wondering what those horror flicks and series are? If so, keep on reading because we provided the names of the horror titles and their Starz release dates below.

Clawfoot (2024)

• Starz release date: Oct. 1, 2024
• Cast: Francesca Eastwood, Milo Gibson, Olivia Culpo, Néstor Carbonell, Oliver Cooper

Technically, Clawfoot isn't a horror film. It's a thriller, but it's a movie that we believe horror fans would enjoy as well. Coming from Yale Entertainment, the film centers around Janet, a wealthy housewife who finds herself being psychologically terrorized by a manipulative contractor who shows up on her doorstep one day, claiming to have an order signed by her husband to renovate their bathroom.

Let It Snow (2020)

• Starz release date: Oct. 1, 2024
• Cast: Ivanna Sakhno, Alex Hafner, Tinatin Dalakishvili

Let It Snow is a horror-thriller film that follows Mia and Max, an engaged couple who decide to go snowboarding in the remote mountains of Georgia, only to end up separated after an accident. With Mia left all alone in the snowy wilderness, she must do everything she can to survive against nature and the masked snowmobile rider hot on her trail.

M3GAN (2023 - Unrated version)

• Starz release date: Oct. 4, 2024
• Cast: Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Ronny Chieng, Jenna Davis, Amie Donald

M3GAN is a sci-fi horror film revolving around a lifelike AI doll named M3GAN who was created to be a child's greatest companion but turns into a killing machine after gaining self-awareness. In other words, it's another "AI gone rogue" type of movie. The original 2022 film is already streaming on Starz. This is the unrated cut, which is basically the same movie but with more gore and profanity. The character deaths are more graphic, too.

Sweetpea (2024)

• Starz release date: Oct. 10, 2024 (series premiere)
• Cast: Ella Purnell, Nicôle Lecky, Jon Pointing, Calam Lynch, Leah Harvey, Jeremy Swift, Dustin Demri-Burns, Luke McGibney

So, Sweetpea is a six-part dark comedy miniseries, not a horror series. However, once you learn about the show's plot, you'll understand why we decided to include it on the list. It's based on the novel of the same name by CJ Skuse, and centers around Rhiannon Lewis, an office manager who everyone overlooks. Fed up with being a wallflower and completely pushed to the edge, Rhiannon spirals out of control and develops a taste for murder.
