Horror icons like Tony Todd and Danielle Harris star in Stream, a new film from the Terrifier team

Several notable horror genre stars are teaming up for a gory new slasher flick called Stream, which was crowdfunded through an Indiegogo campaign. Variety exclusively debuted the bloody trailer for the upcoming film, which premieres exclusively in theaters on August 21.
Among the horror icons in the cast are Tony Todd (Candyman), Danielle Harris (Halloween 4), and Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator). You might also recognize Terrifier star David Howard Thornton, who plays Art the Clown in the trilogy and will return as Art in the upcoming Terrifier 3, releasing this October. Dee Wallace, Tim Reid, Charles Edwin Powell, Mark Holton, and Dave Sheridan also star.
Described as a modern take on the traditional slasher format, Stream centers on a hotel that is far more than meets the eye. Roy and Elaine Keenan plan a relaxing family vacation together at a peaceful hotel, but they're soon horrified to discover the staff uses the hotel as a guise to orchestrate a deadly game that allows deranged murderers to kill guests. The more kills, the more points you get.
In addition to the many recognizable cast members, Terrifier fans will also be pleased to know that creator Damien Leone worked on the film to do the practical gore FX. Leone also did the practical effects for Terrifier and Terrifier 2, and if you've seen those movies you know just how gnarly things can get, so it'll be interesting to see what he brings to the table for Stream.
No news yet on when this one will hit digital, but I assume it should be available to watch at home in time for Halloween. If you don't want to wait that long, be sure to check your local theater listings starting August 21 to see it on the big screen! It's going to be a bloody spectacle perfect for genre fans.
