Paramount Pictures is in the process of turning the horror thriller novel Wilderness Reform into a movie, and Knock at the Cabin scribes Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman have signed on to co-write the screenplay. More on this upcoming horror movie below.

It's based on the 2024 book of the same name by the writing brother duo Harrison and Matt Query. Lindsey Anderson Beer (Pet Sematary: Bloodline) will produce the film through her Lab Brew production banner and her first-look deal with Paramount Pictures. Scott Glassgold (Tarot) will also produce via his Ground Control production company.

The movie takes place at a wilderness camp for troubled teens and centers around a 13-year-old boy named Ben, who is sent there for a reform program. But upon his arrival, he notices that something isn't quite right about the camp and its employees. The camp counselors' happy-go-lucky attitudes seem fake, leading him to believe that something much more sinister is going on at the camp.

He also notices something different about the boys he befriends in his cabin. They all have unique skills. With the camp being plagued by mysterious events and disappearances, these skills are going to come in handy as Ben and his newfound friends work together to uncover the mystery of what's really going on at the camp.

A director hasn't been attached to the project yet, nor has any actors. Once these juicy deets are revealed, you'll be the first to know. If you would like to purchase the Wilderness Reform book, you can do so via Amazon as a hardcover ($27.49 before taxes) or eBook ($12.99 before taxes). You also have the option to purchase it on the Barnes & Noble official website as a hardcover ($28.99 before taxes) or eBook ($12.99 before taxes).
