Lifetime debuts six new Ripped from the Headlines films starting in October

Lifetime is back with more Ripped from the Headlines movies, and the tales of madness, murder and mystery will premier starting on October 5. With a total of six new original films, we have plenty to keep us entertained and intrigued through the beginning of November.
All of the Ripped from the Headlines films will debut on subsequent Saturdays at 9:00 p.m. ET, and each is based on a true story. Already announced were Buried Alive and Survived and He Slid into her DMs, which will premier on September 21 and September 28.
The Girl Who Wasn’t Dead (October 5):
When a 15-year-old girl named Erica disappears, law enforcement at first believes she may be the victim of a serial killer. Three years later, Erica shows up at her murder trial with a surprising story to tell.
Nobody Dumps My Daughter (October 12):
Theresa’s overprotective mother Mary becomes obsessed after Theresa’s boyfriend Jimmy breaks up with her. Determined to reunite the couple, Mary tries everything to convince Jimmy to get back with Theresa, even resorting to bribery. But when nothing works, Mary considers hiring a hitman.
Husband, Father, Killer (October 19):
When Alyssa was still a teenager, she and Steven moved in together in the midst of a very intense relationship. When Alyssa gives birth to a daughter, she makes the decision to put the child up for adoption after Steven becomes abusive with the baby. 18 years later, that daughter shows up at the couple’s door, and things get a little icky.
Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story (October 26):
Ruby and her husband Kevin started up a popular YouTube channel called 8 Passengers, in which they documented their lives and those of their six children. Subscribers to the channel began to express concern about potential abuse they were observing, and the channel was deleted when the couple separated. Things only got worse when a counsellor named Jodi moved in, and soon the abuse escalated.
A Kidnapping in Amish Country (November 2):
“When Lena – an Amish woman with a checkered past – realizes her daughter has been abducted, she is forced to turn to the only person who can help: her estranged best friend, Skye, who’s renounced the Amish way of life and found fame on social media.”
Searching for a Serial Killer: The Regina Smith Story (November 9):
Single Mom Regina becomes an officer for the Dallas PD, and she and her partner Eddie find the dead body of a prostitute. The dead woman turns out to be the first victim of Charles Albright, who was nicknamed “The Eyeball Killer” by the press, thanks to his penchant for removing the eyes of his victims. Regina, then a rookie, is determined to help solve the case.
