Imagine someone is chasing you, but you can't scream, you can't fight, and you can't even run. What do you do? That's the life-or-death situation Iris (Kelsey Asbille) faces in the upcoming Sam Raimi-produced Netflix horror-thriller Don't Move.

Netflix released the first official trailer for the movie during Geeked Week. Watch it below.

The trailer opens with a nightmarish sequence that would chill anyone to the bone, but especially for women. Iris is strewn out in the grass as a man (Finn Wittrock) tells her he's injected her with a paralytic agent, "a special relaxant, to make things easier on both of us." Ew.

He then details how Iris's body will begin shutting down within the next 20 minutes, starting with her fine motor skills, then her legs, then voice, and finally, a total shutdown. At one point, we see Iris sitting in a truck, and she can't even ask the nearby police officer for assistance. She's become captive to her own body, and whatever Wittrock's character—described as a "seasoned killer"—has planned for her can't be good.

Releasing this October as part of this year's spooky Netflix & Chills line-up, Don't Move has been rated R for strong violence and language. Adam Schindler and Brian Netto direct with a script co-written by T.J. Cimfel and David White.

Actress Kelsey Asbille is best known for her roles in One Tree Hill, Teen Wolf, Wind River, Fargo, and Yellowstone. Wittrock is no stranger to the horror genre, appearing in several Ryan Murphy projects like the Netflix Original Ratched, American Crime Story, and multiple seasons of American Horror Story.

Netflix has multiple new horror movies lined up for release this October. In addition to Don't Move, the streamer will also debut It's What's Inside, The Platform 2, Time Cut, and Woman of the Hour.

Don't Move begins streaming on Friday, October 25 on Netflix. Set a reminder for when the film releases right here.
