Samara Weaving might have just confirmed that a sequel to the popular and acclaimed 2019 film Ready or Not is in the works!

While promoting her new horror movie Azrael to ComicBook, Weaving was asked about the rumored sequel and revealed that she is "all in" and thinks everyone else is on board, too. We're assuming she means filmmaking duo Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, also known as Radio Silence.

"I think we're all in. I don't know if we've had our blood handshake, but pretty much. We've done the spit handshake, but we haven't cut each other's hands and rubbed our blood together."

She later joked that she'll have "to make some calls" soon to check on the status of the proposed sequel. However, we should note that Ready or Not 2 has been rumored for a few years and has not been officially confirmed. The rumor gained traction this past March when InSneider reported that the film had found a director in Adam Robitel for the sequel. Robitel is best known for writing and directing The Taking of Deborah Logan and directing the Escape Room films.

While I think Robitel would be a good choice for director, I'd rather see Radio Silence return as they seem to have a good rapport with Weaving and previously cast her in a fun, albeit brief role, in their other movie, Scream VI.

Robitel's involvement is still very much in the rumor stage, with Weaving's latest comments suggesting that the original team will be back. At least if Radio Silence aren't directing, I imagine they'll return to produce.

But it's obviously a positive sign that Weaving is game to return and reprise her role as final girl Grace, who barely survives her chaotic wedding night at the Le Domas manor.

In the meantime, Weaving is busy on a promo tour for Azrael, an upcoming horror movie IFC Films and Shudder about a group of mute zealots hunting down a young woman who escaped imprisonment (Weaving). Azrael will arrive in theaters on September 27 before coming to Shudder at a later date.
