Universal just dropped another bit of Halloween Horror Nights news, and it applies to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. That’s right, another haunted house theme has been announced, and it’s a biggie.

The Insidious franchise is a favorite among horror movie fans, and now they can step into The Further for themselves. Insidious: The Further is a haunted house attraction that promises us a “terrifying journey through the darkness.”

Blumhouse Productions and Sony Pictures brought us Insidious in 2011, and film-goers were captivated by the story of the Lambert family, who move into a new home with their three children. When little Dalton falls off a ladder after an encounter with a creepy entity, he becomes comatose and stays in a hospital for three months. After his parents bring him home, paranormal activity kicks up in the house, and they decide to move. Unfortunately, the activity follows them. A group of paranormal investigators steps in to help, and the family soon learns that this is much more than just a simple haunting.

Insidious was a huge hit film, and four sequels/prequels were released, with Thread: An Insidious Tale and Insidious 6 both currently in pre-production as well.

In the Halloween Horror Nights house, guests will walk through that infamous red door, be treated to many of the Insidious scares, and will be taken in “The Further”, where they will encounter various demons and entities. Remember the creepy red-faced demon, KeyFace, the Man Who Can’t Breathe, and the evil Bride in Black? You can get up close and personal with them…whether you want to or not.

Tickets for both locations are now available for purchase online. You can also get Frequent Fear and Rush of Fear passes, Express Passes and tickets for the RIP Tour and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour.

Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando will run from August 30 until November 3, but you can also take advantage of their first-ever Premium Scream night on August 29. It’s a limited-capacity event that gives you the opportunity to access HHN before its official opening.

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood runs from September 3 through November 3.
