Universal bringing Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood
By Carla Davis
Universal has announced another haunted house theme for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, and it’s based on another big name film.
Universal Orlando had already announced its original house themes, along with a house based on the film A Quiet Place. Also announced was the first ever Premium Scream Night, which will be held on August 29.
Now fans of the best Halloween events in the US can also look forward to experiencing Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. The houses will feature “iconic ghosts, creatures and characters from the beloved classic series in authentic haunted houses that capture the horror and humor for which the films are known.”
Guests will step into New York City and join in as the Spengler family works with the original Ghostbusters. Together, everyone must try to protect New York City from Garraka, an angry spirit who wants to freeze all of the residents to death. Is another Ice Age imminent?
The Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire experience will take you through Ray’s Occult Books shop, through the New York sewer system, and you will get to see the Ghostbusters' laboratory and containment facility. Along the way, you’ll encounter many of the iconic ghosts and other creatures you know and love from the Ghostbusters’ movies.
