After a horror-packed Halfway to Halloween April, Shudder is back at it for their May schedule, which includes two new original films and a full roster of “Shudder Resurrected” titles.

Here’s what horror fans can look forward to watching on Shudder in May:

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs continues its sixth season, with a new featured film every other Friday (May 10 and 24). Episodes are also available on AMC+.

May 1:

The Jester – This film began life as a YouTube short in 2016, and was followed by two additional shorts. The Jester is out and about on Halloween night, wreaking murderous havoc amongst the residents of a small town. Two sisters who have become estranged must work together to defeat him.

Blood and Black Lace – This Mario Bava giallo was released in 1964. In it, a stylishly dressed masked figure develops a habit of brutally killing models who work for Christian Haute Couture.

YellowBrickRoad -  In 1940, the town of Friar (population 572) became obsessed with the film The Wizard of Oz. After a viewing of it, all 572 citizens walked off into the wilderness, leaving everything behind. Half were found dead, and the others never returned. In present time, a documentary crew arrives to investigate.

Mean Spirited – In this horror/comedy, Andy is an unsuccessful YouTuber who brings his crew on a trip to the Poconos. While visiting with his old friend/frienemy Bryce, a demon jumps in to ruin the potential for a fun time.

The Toxic AvengerThe Toxic Avenger is beloved, partly because of its ridiculousness, and it was recently featured on The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs. Mop boy Melvin is regularly ridiculed by the bullies at the health club he works at. Everything changes when he falls into a barrel of toxic waste.

The Toxic Avenger Part II – Toxie visits Tokyo while searching for his long lost father, and in his absence, Tromaville is overrun by evil corporate types.

The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie – Toxie has done such a stand-up job of ridding Tromaville of evil that he is actually bored. Deciding to get a job at a major corporation, he finds instead that he may have run across the most evil baddie of them all.

TA4 – Citizen Toxic: The Toxic Avenger IV – When the Toxic Avenger’s doppelganger (The Noxious Offender ) shows up, Toxie must protect his friends from his evil twin.

May 17:

Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever (Shudder Original) – In this sequel to 1994’s Nightwatch (also available on Shudder this month), Emma is a medical student who decides to take a job in the same department where her parents were nearly murdered by former police inspector Wormer (who just happened to be a psychopath). Emma wants to know what happened that led to her mother’s suicide and her fathers drug dependence, so she finds and confronts Wormer. Bad idea.

May 6:

Mother, May I? – The Guardian gave this horror movie a 5-star rating, referring to it as “a find.” When Tracy dies, her son Emmett (who isn’t really grieving his mother) and his fiancée Anya visit the home that now belongs to him. While there, Anya starts behaving and dressing just like his mom, and Emmett must rescue her from possible possession.

Herd – Jamie and Alex are a same-sex couple grieving the loss off their child. They set off on a camping trip in an effort to work through the trauma, and, oops! A zombie outbreak happens, putting both of the women in danger.

Gorgo – In this 1961 British monster flick, the crew of a pearl-diving ship discover a sea monster and decide to bring it to London and sell it to a circus. Unfortunately, they don’t know this creature has a very devoted mother determined to hunt them down and get her baby back.

The Giant Gila Monster – Released in 1959, this one is so low-budget that the giant gila scenes consist of a real Mexican Beaded Lizard running around on a homemade model landscape. “A giant lizard terrorizes a rural Texas community, and a heroic teenager attempts to destroy the creature.”

The Stone Tape – A group of scientists sets up a research facility in an old Victorian mansion said to be haunted. As the team works to figure out if the stones in the building are causing paranormal events, they unwittingly release an evil force.

May 8:

Mother’s Day – Three women on a camping trip are kidnapped by brothers, whose mother is even more insane than the men. Mother’s Day was featured on The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, and that episode is also available once again.

 May 13:

Fatal Games – “A mad javelin thrower kills teenagers in the school. All promising athletes are executed in the most brutal way.”

Landlocked – Mason pays a visit to his childhood home shortly before it is scheduled to be demolished. While in the house, he finds a video camera, begins filming…and discovers that in doing so he is actually replaying past events with his brothers and their father.

May 15:

Combat Shock – “A dangerously disturbed Vietnam veteran struggles with life 15 years after his return home, and slowly falls into insanity from his gritty urban lifestyle.”

May 20:

Down – When lightning strikes a New York skyscraper, the elevators start to malfunction in strange deadly ways. A mechanic named Mark is brought in to find out what’s going on at the same time news reporter Jennifer begins an investigation.

Stopmotion (Shudder Original) – When Ella’s controlling mother dies, she works through past trauma by creating a puppet film. “As Ella's mind starts to fracture, the characters in her animated film take on a terrifying life of their own, and the unleashed power of her imagination threatens to destroy her.” Stopmotion won the Best Director award at Fantastic Fest.
