A teaser for the third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon made its debut after the final episode of season two aired. Now AMC Networks has announced a premiere date for season three, and some first look images have been dropped.
Spinoffs of the super-popular The Walking Dead series have been a mixed bag, but The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon has done pretty well for itself. That is most likely due to the fact that the character of Daryl was so beloved on the original series. And it didn’t hurt that the character of Carol joined during season two (Titled The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol). Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride were, after all, arguably even more popular than Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. Remember the meme that circulated during The Walking Dead’s heyday? “If Daryl dies, we riot.”
During the first season, Daryl wound up in Paris, where he paired up with a nun named Isabelle, who implored him to deliver a young boy to the Union contingent in France. While he said no initially, he did eventually agree to the plan. Of course, there are plenty of adventures along the way, and both dangerous walkers and humans were encountered.
In the second season of the series, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol, Carol convinced a man named Ash to fly her to France in search of her friend. Daryl and Carol were finally reunited in episode four, and were headed to England in the season finale.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season three will premiere on Sunday, September 7 at 9:00 p.m. ET.

Season three was filmed in Spain, and features Daryl and Carol continuing their quest to get back home to the US. “As they struggle to find their way back, the path takes them farther astray, leading them through distant lands with ever-changing and unfamiliar conditions as they witness the various effects of the Walker apocalypse.”
Obviously Reedus and McBride are returning, but season three will also include Eduardo Noriega, Alexandra Masangkay, Oscar Jaenada, Hugo Arbues, Candela Saitta, Greta Fernandez, Hada Nieto, Gonzalo Bouza, Yassmine Othman, Cuco Usin and Stephen Merchant.

Scott M. Gimple returns to executive produce The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, alongside Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Steve Squillante, Dan Percival and Silvia Araez and Jesus de la Verga of Anima Stilking.
