We have more news to report on the upcoming Scream 7. There's been a new cast addition once again, and you're probably going to be thrilled by whose just been added to the cast if you're a fan of the superhero series Gen V and The Boys.
Asa Germann, famed for his role as Sam in both Gen V and The Boys, has officially joined the cast. His casting comes only a couple of days after the casting of Celeste O’Connor (Madame Web). Unfortunately, both of their roles in Scream 7 are under wraps at the moment. However, there have been many guesses by fans on who Germann could possibly be playing.
For example, many fans believe that he'll play the new Ghostface. Or, if the movie chooses to have more than one Ghostface, they believe he'll portray one of them. Why? Well, it mostly has to do with his role in Gen V and The Boys. His character in those shows is kind of all over the place and tends to exhibit destructive and violent behavior. Germann does such an incredible job portraying that character that many people believe he'd be perfect playing the new Ghostface killer. But who knows? Maybe he'll play a different character in the upcoming slasher.
Germann and O’Connor join already-announced cast members Isabel May (1923) and Neve Campbell. Campbell reprises her role as Sidney Prescott from previous Scream movies, while May is set to play Sidney's daughter in the new film. These are the only actors who've been officially cast so far for the seventh installment. Another Scream alumni, Courteney Cox, is also in discussions to return in her role as Gale Weathers. However, her casting hasn't been confirmed yet.
Scream creator Kevin Williamson will direct Scream 7 from a script that Guy Busick wrote. Sadly, nothing is known about the plot as of right now. However, the cameras are believed to start rolling on the film sometime in December. Once production wraps up and the new movie finishes being edited to perfection in post-production, it will be released in theaters on Feb. 27, 2026, by Paramount Pictures. Make sure to save the date!
