Production on the highly anticipated Five Nights at Freddy's 2 is currently underway, and it looks like we might have our first look at the sequel with these new leaked set photos. Five Nights at Freddy's 2 will be released in theaters on Dec. 5, 2025, by Universal Pictures. Make sure to save this date!

First reported by Eurogamer, the news outlet noticed that several fan accounts on X were sharing photos of what appears to be taken on the set of the sequel. Two of the images are of the run-down, infamous Freddy Fazbear pizzeria. However, there's something different about the pizzeria's sign in the photos. We shared the images below via the FNAF Movie Updates X account:

In the first film, the pizzeria sign featured Freddy alongside the name of the establishment. We shared a photo from the first movie above that shows the sign. However, in these newly leaked set photos, reportedly from the sequel, the sign now includes Bonnie and Chica alongside Freddy. Both animatronics, Bonnie and Chica, were introduced in the first movie along with Freddy. If these photos are indeed from the sequel, it seems the pizzeria is getting a bit of an upgrade following the events of the first film.

Another fan shared photos on their X page of what appears to be Five Nights at Freddy's merchandise being sold for a possible scene in the sequel. Check them out below!

According to Eurogamer, these photos were reportedly taken in Rivertown, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans. For those unaware, the sequel is being filmed in Louisiana, just like the first movie. The fan who shared the images initially mistook the setup for a local fair until they noticed a sign indicating the area would close at 3:00 p.m. They also spotted a sign for "extras" and several trailers nearby, hinting at ongoing production.

However, it's important to note that these photos are not official. While the images provide an exciting glimpse into what could be the sequel's production, everyone should take this information with a grain of salt until official confirmation is released.

Plot details for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 are being kept secret. All that is known about the sequel is that Emma Tammi is back as director, with the creator of the Five Nights at Freddy's video game series, Scott Cawthon, helping pen the script. Josh Hutcherson will reprise his role as Mike Schmidt, and Matthew Lillard returns as Steve Raglan/William Afton. Elizabeth Lail, who played Vanessa in the first film, is also believed to return to this role in the sequel.

That's all the information we have on Five Nights at Freddy's 2 for now. Stay tuned to 1428 Elm for any new updates on this upcoming supernatural horror film!
