When fan favorite characters Tyreese and Sasha first check into the show, they’re traveling with a family, Allen, Donna, and Ben. They locate the prison for shelter, but, unfortunately, one of them is gravely injured. Donna has been bitten on the arm by a walker, and is quickly succumbing to the virus.

Donna makes it to the prison alive, but it’s not long before she dies because of the bite. Tyreese has difficulty destroying her brain to prevent reanimation, but somebody does so off screen, as later we see the group laying the body to rest.
