But do you know who won't be joining in on the excitement? One of the stars from Final Destination 2, aka the second installment in the Final Destination film series. Justina Machado, who you might recognize from her previous roles in shows like Six Feet Under, Queen of the South and One Day at a Time, took on the role of Isabella Hudson in Final Destination 2. If you recall, her character survives in the movie unlike some of the other characters who suffered tragic and often gruesome fates. Machado spoke with People at a Tony Awards junket in New York City on May 8 and discussed her experience of working on Final Destination 2 and her thoughts on the newest film.

She shared that filming Final Destination 2 in Vancouver was a fantastic experience and that she really enjoyed working alongside her co-stars. When asked if she was a horror person herself, Machado seemed to hint that while she appreciates the genre, she’s not into the more intense or graphic side of horror.

"I am a horror person. Just not that horror person, you know what I mean?" - Justina Machado

The news outlet also asked her if she will be seeing Final Destination Bloodlines. Machado responded honestly, sharing that she doesn’t plan to watch the new film. She seemed to joke that since her character survived in Final Destination 2 and wasn’t brought back in the sequel, she’s skipping the latest movie.

"Plus, I didn't die! They didn't bring me back! So no." - Justina Machado

Will Machado really not end up seeing Final Destination Bloodlines? Who knows. She might change her mind once the film is out. But for now, she’s clearly content to sit this one out.

You can catch Machado in Netflix's newest medical drama series Pulse, where she plays Natalia Cruz, Chair of Surgery and Emergency Medicine at the fictional Maguire Hospital. Or, you can watch her in the short-lived horror series The Horror of Dolores Roach on Prime Video.
