Nosferatu (1922)
The iconic 1922 silent film Nosferatu, an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel Dracula, is now streaming on Tubi. Eggers' Nosferatu is a remake and expansion of this one, and it is worth watching because of its far-reaching influence. Many consider Nosferatu to be the prototypical horror film.
Max Schreck plays the ominous Count Orlok, who summons real estate agent Thomas Hutter to his mountainside Transylvanian castle. Obsessed with Hutter and his beautiful wife, Ellen, Orlok reveals his desire to buy a home near them. As his true monstrous nature is slowly revealed, Hutter does whatever he can to escape the castle and save his wife.
Blacula (1972)
Another hugely influential film, and largely considered the first blaxploitation horror film, Blacula follows an African prince who is turned into a vampire by Dracula himself in ancient Transylvania. Blacula (William Marshall) then reawakens centuries later in the midst of 1970s Los Angeles, where he begins stalking a woman who resembles his late wife.
Fright Night (1985)
What would you do if you discovered that your next-door neighbor was a vampire? Charley Brewster happens to be a massive fan of horror movies as is, so he's the first to notice and suspect that his neighbor might be a creature of the night. No one believes him, of course, so he's forced to turn to a former actor who played a vampire hunter for assistance.
Let the Right One In (2008)
Let the Right One In is a Swedish film based on the novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist and follows the story of a young, badly bullied boy who befriends a vampire. Tubi is also streaming the English-language remake Let Me In, released in 2010. The 2008 movie is the superior version, but this is a rare situation where the remake is also a great film in its own right, so it's worth watching both if you have time!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (All 7 seasons)
Did you know that all seven seasons of this WB classic starring Sarah Michelle Gellar as the titular slayer are streaming for free on Tubi? If you want to talk about influential horror titles, it doesn't get much more so than Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which helped popularize the template for just about every supernatural teen show that would follow. The series centers on a teenage girl who also happens to be part of a long legacy of vampire slayers with a destiny to kill monsters. She and her friends must do whatever it takes to keep their town of Sunnydale, perched right on the edge of a Hellmouth, safe.
