The months are just flying by. In just a few days, we'll be starting a new month, and with it comes a bunch of new releases on Netflix. However, it also means we'll be seeing many movies and TV shows departing the streaming platform. Although this happens every month, it’s still a bummer to say goodbye to some beloved titles.

Unfortunately, several great horror films will be among those leaving Netflix in April 2025. That's why it's important to carve out time to watch them before they depart the streamer, because you never know if they'll return or when you'll get another chance to watch them. With April just around the corner, there's not much time left. Below, we shared a list of four must-see horror movies to catch on Netflix before they're removed next month.

It (2017)

  • Director: Andy Muschietti
  • Writers: Chase Palmer, Cary Fukunaga, Gary Dauberman
  • Cast: Jaeden Lieberher, Bill Skarsgård, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Sophia Lillis

It is arguably one of the best Stephen King film adaptations ever made. Set in the fictional town of Derry, the supernatural horror film follows a group of children who are terrorized by a malevolent entity that takes the form of a terrifying clown named Pennywise. In order to stop the ancient evil that has plagued their town for decades, the group of misfit friends must confront their deepest fears and band together to defeat the creature.

Scream (2022)

It had been 11 years since we had seen a new Scream movie before the release of Scream in 2022. Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures decided to reboot the franchise with a brand new installment that not only brought back familiar faces but also introduced a fresh generation of characters. In the hit slasher, the story follows a new group of teens in Woodsboro who find themselves targeted by the infamous Ghostface killer. OG Scream characters like Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers return to help put a stop to the terror that continues to haunt their town.

A Quiet Place Part II (2020)

  • Netflix removal date: April 12
  • Director and writer: John Krasinski

Bryan Woods and Scott Beck were on to something when they created the A Quiet Place horror media franchise. There have been three movies so far, and A Quiet Place Part II is a thrilling continuation of the original story set up in A Quiet Place. We continue to follow the Abbott family as they fight for survival in a world where making any sound can be deadly. After losing the patriarch of the family, they venture out into the outside world and find themselves navigating even greater threats than just the alien creatures.

Hereditary (2018)

  • Netflix removal date: April 15
  • Director and writer: Ari Aster

When you're talking about some of A24's best horror films, Hereditary must be brought up in conversation.
