7. Alice could have been played by Gwyneth Paltrow

The biggest quality the Resident Evil film series has going for it is surely its star Milla Jovovich. It’s truly impossible to imagine anybody else playing the badass lead character Alice, especially at this point in the franchise. But Jovovich wasn’t the first choice to play Alice in the film.

You know who was? Gwyneth Paltrow. Yeah, apparently Paul W. S. Anderson was able to picture Paltrow doing jump kicks to rabid dogs and have the audience take it seriously. An almighty creator must have been shining down on us that day, because Paltrow would end up turning down the role. Paltrow is a decent enough actress, but I have serious doubts about her being the star of a zombie-action series.

Paltrow’s refusal would open the door for Milla Jovovich, who would help make the franchise what it is today.
