Reading these both saddens me and makes me proud to be a horror fan. These is nothing like our terror family on the planet. — and these Tweets prove it.
Creating some of the best horror films in history, Tobe Hooper is a name synonymous with quality frights. Whether it be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Poltergeist or Lifeforce, the filmmaker is a true legend in every sense of the word. And with the Leatherface creator now gone, following only weeks after the passing of George Romero, horror has a huge hole in it. But Hooper lives on, through his iconic work and in the memories of carnage cravers everywhere.
RIP Tobe Hooper, we’ll all see you one day. On some lone Texas road, in a distant place. With a camera in one hand and a cigar in the other.
