“Hang in there, it’s gonna be worth it.” – Ashley J. Williams

NYCC Panel Update

We last reported the NYCC panel for Ash vs Evil Dead would be Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Arielle Carver-O’Neill.  However, according to Phil Edwards of Live for Films, there has been an addition to the Ash vs Evil Dead panel. Lindsay Farris, who voiced the older Bek in Gods of Egypt and played Chad in the horror flick, Primal will also be in the mix.

No One Is Safe

That isn’t all that was revealed! Live for Films also went on to report some juicy nuggets of information about season 3 that will have fans clamoring for the show even more passionately than ever before.

Life for Ash is looking sweet after the end of season 2. He finally has the approval of the town, he is the hero — but that is about to change. Nothing good can last forever in his world. The ball gets rolling when “Kelly witnesses a televised massacre with Ruby’s fingerprints all over it, she returns with a new friend to warn Ash and Pablo that evil isn’t done with them yet. Blood is thicker than water in the battle of good vs Evil Dead.”

The reality is that no one is safe in the Ghostbeaters family. This entire story arc is definitively a game changer. Fans of the show will not be disappointed. In fact, everything about this season will be a jaw dropping experience.

Great Expectations

What we do know is Ruby has some devious ideas. She has her own thoughts on who should be the Chosen One and it’s not Ash. Pablo, like Ray Santiago stated in our interview, sees himself differently this season after being one with the Necronomicon. In turn, that makes the darker forces view him in a new light. He begins to discover the Shaman that was lurking inside him.

More from Horror on TV

As for Kelly, according to Dana DeLorenzo, “She gets to take on the upper hand and take someone else under her wing.” Then there is Ash Williams who is going through a monumental upheaval in his world. He has discovered that he has a daughter, Brandy Barr (Arielle Carver-O’Neill). This sudden event forces Ash to take on an additional responsibility as a parent for which he is ill equipped.

Bruce Campbell explains it this way, “It’s a horrible challenge. Ash is not good at it. He’s a lousy father. But as he explains to his daughter at one point, “I’m also a crappy liar.” He’s always told the truth. That’s the one thing that Ash has even though the truth sounds ridiculous.”

Rounding out the cast for NYCC is Lindsay Farris. Farris plays Dalton, the leader of an ancient order called the Knights of Sumeria who want Ash to be their leader in the battle against the Dark Ones. The beloved Lee Majors will return as Brock Williams to warn Ash from beyond the grave.
