After a long swath of silence, it seems the world of “FNaF” isn’t over yet with the announcement of “Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted.”

Every time we write an article about how a game is the last in the Five Nights at Freddy’s, Scott Cawthon comes out with something else. First it was Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulatorthen it was FNaF Ultimate Custom Night and now it was just announced that FNaF is coming to Playstation VR with a new gaming experience.

According to Polygon, this Spring will bring more than just seasonal allergies. During a State of Pay livestream, Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted was announced and I am kind of excited to be honest.

Based on the reactions I am seeing so far, if you thought that the original had jumpscares that would knock you off of your chair, just wait until a massive, possessed animatronic is jumping right into your face in a darkened security room. On the Playstation blog, they mention that while you will be playing familiar scenarios, albeit a different way, there will be new experiences in the game as well.

"“Unlike the PC or tablet, players will use either DualShock 4 or PS Move motion controllers to interact with the door and light controls in the offices, pick up objects in the repair games, press buttons on the video switcher, solve puzzles, and activate your flashlight.”"

In a more classic game format, players will be able to earn collectibles in the game like bobbleheads, plushies, action figures and the like. While that sounds like a good idea, I can only image how difficult it will be to collect a plushie while Foxy is running his ass down the hallway on night five…just sayin’. While this is the brainchild of Scott Cawthon, Five Nights of Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted is being produced by Steel Wool Studios.

More from Video Games

My only VR experience I have ever had was playing Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and I didnt make it to the main house before I was on the first train to Nopesville. Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted looks like a game that you will play with your family and someone will give it to their mother, causing her to get so scared that she falls over the back of the couch. My son makes me play the original and even THAT causes me anxiety, I can’t imagine what VR will be like. I suppose I’m just going to have to try it.

No date is set yet and the only information given right now is a Spring release for PSVR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rifts. You can see some bits of game play floating around on YouTube. Keep and eye on 1428 Elm for more on Five Nights at Freddy’s VR: Help Wanted. Until then, I’ll be getting freaked out by the original.
