Bruce Campbell has more stories to tell Believe It or Not!
Bruce Campbell may be entering Act III of his life but he isn’t ready to slow down just yet. In a new interview with Inquisitr, he definitely has more stories to tell.
Bruce Campbell is a man with a plan. After retiring Ash Williams last year, he was ready to move on and live his life. Not one to sit around, he is doing what he wants to do and that has yielded some terrific opportunities for the actor.
He had a memorable guest starring role on AMC’s quirky dramedy, Lodge 49 as real estate titan, Gary Green. Perhaps, one of the best performances he has given to date, Campbell finds himself being submitted for Emmy consideration.
In a recent interview with Inquisitr, Bruce talks about his new gig with the Travel Channel, the paperback reissue of Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor and the continuation of the Evil Dead universe.
It’s interesting because when Ripley’s publicized that he would be making a special announcement New Year’s Eve everyone wondered exactly what that would be. To his fans’ surprise and delight, he revealed that he would be returning to television as the host of Travel Channel’s reboot of Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Exactly how did his involvement with the iconic purveyor of the odd and the extraordinary begin?

For Bruce it was a “no brainer.” As a child, he had the book and remembered “people doing crazy stuff.” So why not become involved with something you enjoyed in your youth? When the opportunity presented itself, he jumped at it.
"“It was their hundred-year anniversary and Travel Channel, Ripley’s, it was a pretty good combination, you know? Basic cable, no one has to go out of their way to find it, it’s not impossible to find.”"
Which is great because now his fans will be able to see him every Sunday starting June 9 at 9 p.m. But there is even more good news. On Sept. 17, his Requiem for Ash paperback version of his bestseller, Hail to the Chin 2 hits retailers.
Why is this a must read for Ash vs Evil Dead fans? Because it will be a deep dive into the genesis of the STARZ series from Campbell’s unique perspective.
"“It’s a fuller explanation of the birth, life, and death of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ and then the ultimate retirement of that character. It’s a little more of an essay approach, it’s a little more esoteric.”"

And that is not all lovers of Sam Raimi’s classic horror trilogy can look forward to. While Bruce is sticking to his guns about not appearing as Ash in a movie or new streaming service incarnation, there is hope that his followers will at least see him virtually as the chainsaw champion of Michigan again.
He has admitted that he will be doing video games and voices for Ash. Now, he doesn’t disclose any upcoming titles but bear in mind, there is a virtual reality game in the works. One thing Bruce Campbell is certain of is that there WILL be more Evil Dead.
"“We’re not done with the ‘Evil Dead’ saga, more stories to tell.”"
And we will be patiently waiting for them to unfold…
